Moda Operandi is seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of NYC's boroughs, traffic patterns, and parking regulations. Responsibilities include transporting goods or passengers safely and efficiently while providing excellent service.

 

What you’ll be doing:

·      Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods or passengers across NYC.

·      Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.

·      Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle inspections.

·      Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members.

·      Ensure timely delivery of items or arrival at destinations.

·      Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues.

·      Utilize GPS and other navigation tools to determine the best routes.

·      Handle loading and unloading of goods, ensuring items are secure.

·      Provide courteous and professional service to all clients and passengers.​
 

Position Requirements include:

·       Frequent driving in urban traffic and varied weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme heat or cold.

·       Extended periods of sitting while operating a vehicle, with intermittent periods of walking, standing, bending, and lifting.

·       Frequent entry and exit from vehicle throughout the day, sometimes in tight or high-traffic areas.

·       Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver packages or equipment up to 50 lbs unassisted.

·       As necessary, will be required to climb stairs or navigate building entrances for deliveries.

·        Occasional exposure to fumes, vehicle exhaust, noise, and vibration while operating or maintaining vehicles.

·       Must be able to maintain focus and alertness for long driving hours, often under pressure to meet delivery or service deadlines.

·       Ability to communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and other team members in potentially noisy or fast-paced environments.

·       May be required to periodically work weekends, holidays, or evenings depending on scheduling needs and customer demands.

 

Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour (based on experience)
