Moda Operandi is seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of NYC's boroughs, traffic patterns, and parking regulations. Responsibilities include transporting goods or passengers safely and efficiently while providing excellent service.  

This position is 30 hours per week.

What you’ll be doing:

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods or passengers across NYC.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members.
• Ensure timely delivery of items or arrival at destinations.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues.
• Utilize GPS and other navigation tools to determine the best routes.
• Handle loading and unloading of goods, ensuring items are secure.
• Provide courteous and professional service to all clients and passengers.​

 
Position Requirements include:

• Frequent driving in urban traffic and varied weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme heat or cold.
• Extended periods of sitting while operating a vehicle, with intermittent periods of walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Frequent entry and exit from vehicle throughout the day, sometimes in tight or high-traffic areas.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver packages or equipment up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• As necessary, will be required to climb stairs or navigate building entrances for deliveries.
• Occasional exposure to fumes, vehicle exhaust, noise, and vibration while operating or maintaining vehicles.
• Must be able to maintain focus and alertness for long driving hours, often under pressure to meet delivery or service deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and other team members in potentially noisy or fast-paced environments.
• Employees must maintain a clean, professional, and customer-facing appearance at all times while on duty.
• Employees must wear the company-provided Moda Operandi polo shirt during all scheduled shifts.
• Employees must wear neat, clean pants or shorts (as approved by management) and closed-toe footwear appropriate for driving and delivery activities.
• Clothing must be free of excessive wear, damage, or inappropriate graphics or messaging.
• Failure to comply with dress code requirements may result in corrective action according to company policy.
• May be required to periodically work weekends, holidays, or evenings depending on scheduling needs and customer demands.

Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour (based on experience) 
Shift: 30 hours per week
