Moda Operandi is seeking a warehouse Safety & Security Officer to join our team at our Warehouse Distribution Center in Maspeth, Queens. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees and merchandise, with a strong emphasis on loss prevention and strategies, and proactive deterrence of theft and fraud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the surveillance and conduct routine patrols of the warehouse premises via foot patrol and camera surveillance
• Detect and prevent internal theft and fraudulent activity
• Enforce policies and procedures related to loss prevention and security
• Observe and report suspected theft or fraud; cooperate with law enforcement in accordance with company protocol
• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and documentation
• Support warehouse leadership during emergency situations and evacuations
• Provide a visible and professional security presence to deter theft and misconduct
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
• Assist in regular audits for stockroom compliance
• Maintain an accurate visitor log and ensure all visitors sign in and out of the facility
• Verify the identity and purpose of all visitors before granting access to the facility
• Ensure that no unauthorized personnel enter the facility without prior approval from onsite leadership
• Promptly inform leadership of all visitors, vendors, contractors and other personnel arriving at the facility.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a security guard in a retail or warehouse environment
• Knowledge of loss prevention policies, surveillance techniques, and retail shrink strategies
• Ability to remain calm, composed, and professional in high-pressure situations
• Excellent observational, communication, and reporting skills
• Familiarity with incident management protocols
• Valid NYS Security Guard Registration Card issued by the Department of State
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 25 lbs
• Preferred Attributes:
• Prior experience in high-end or high-traffic retail environments
• Training in conflict de-escalation and customer service
• Strong sense of integrity, discretion, and reliability

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 / hour, based on experience
Shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday at our Distribution Center in Maspeth, Queens.
